About Women Empowerment Cell

Women empowerment aims for providing those opportunities for womenwhich were denied previously and helpthem achieve heights.

The Women Empowerment Cell of K. L. E. Society’s P C Jabin Science was established with the motto of “Let us not dream about the success, let us work for it”. The cell aims to empower girl students and female faculty, enhance their understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women. It was also aimed at addressing the practical issues related to welfare and equal opportunities for Women faculty, staff and students.

With a view to take up women issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and duties.It also engages, sensitizes and empowers the students of the institution towards the cause of gender equality. The cell organizes events like annual conferences, guest lectures, workshops and awareness program on various women related issues to furnish  them with wide range of skills and knowledge for the betterment of self and society.

The Cell has both the faculty and students of the College as its members and works with an aim to create a gender sensitized community within campus as well as in the society. It has been organizing various academic, technical, medical, cultural and social events for the upliftment of women and spread the real importance of gender equality in the society through College students.

• Molding and enlightening the young minds and pave way to grow into balanced and better human beings.
• To encourage general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College and to provide and maintain a dignified, pleasant working environment for women and facilitate them to explore their imminent potential in all aspects.

Mission:

• To train women to acquire wide range of skills and knowledge and to develop and increase their social, economic and intellectual capacities for peace, security and prosperity of mankind.

OBJECTIVES:

• To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender
• To encourage female students to be self-reliant and economically independent
• To empower them in raising their voice against Gender Discrimination/Injustice/Violence
• To Identifyfemale students of strong leadership quality and strive to elevate their holistic growth
• To organize various activities and create awareness of women health, physical and mental fitness etc.,
• To conduct competitions with an aim to motivate their artistic talents and in turnignite the creative thinking-learning process
• To highlight the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety
• To give a new direction for the celebration of National and International Women Days
• To conduct seminars and workshop with a motto to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available for women and to train them.
