The Department of Chemistry has its existence since the inception of the Institute. The department plays an important role in transforming students as per the needs of Research and Scientific institutes, Industries and Education professionals.

The Department provides quality education in chemical sciences under UG, PG and Certificate/value-added courses to enhance their employability and benefit the society. The Department is well equipped to support high quality teaching and research activities. Department has highly qualified faculty members to conduct research in forefront areas of Chemistry. Research work of faculty members is supported by the UGC and Alumni Association of the college. Faculty and students have published 100research articles in International and National in peer reviewed journals with high impact factor. The Chemistry Department has established MoU with various institutes and industries for academic and research purpose.

The academic atmosphere at chemistry department is a rare blend of modern-day technical skills and the traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge. The students who have qualified from the department have developed leadership qualities and made the college proud through their outstanding achievements in various fields.
